RPSS recently completed installation and cut-over to a new IP based multi-site E9-1-1 Communication System for the Calhoun County 9-1-1 District.  The new PlantCML Sentinel Patriot and ARIES CAD solutions will be used to process, answer and direct all calls placed to 9-1-1 in Calhoun County, Alabama.  The architecture of the deployed solution will support two geographically diverse Host Site/PSAPs with the Primary site being located at the Calhoun County E9-1-1 office and the Backup site being located at the Calhoun County EMA office.  

The Primary site at the E9-1-1 office consists of seven Sentinel/ARIES Workstations and answers all calls for service in the county, while the backup site with three Sentinel/ARIES Workstation positions is available for overflow, training and emergency use.  RPSS also configured serial data ports to send ALI data to nine remote agency locations via a County provided network.

The geo-diverse Patriot/ARIES solution provides the County with reduced dispatch times, enhanced call taker capability, remote diagnostics and a system architecture designed to meet future next generation capabilities.
