The Talladega County Emergency Communications District has contracted with RPSS to provide the necessary product and services to reconfigure their current single backroom Sentinel Patriot Call Taking solution to a Geographically Diverse system. Half of the Sentinel Patriot backroom equipment will remain at the Primary 9-1-1 center along with the six Call Taking positions. The other half of the backroom equipment will be deployed at a new backup facility located at the Talladega racetrack. The District will also be adding two Call Taking positions at the backup site. The new configuration will provide additional redundancy and diversity in the District’s existing Call Taking solution. The project is scheduled to begin in January 2012.
